Conversation in our house this afternoon:
Hailey (age 4): Lauryn, pick up.
(Hailey turns and looks at me, nodding her head reassuringly.)
Hailey: I can tell her what to do, because it says you have to obey your olders and I'm older.
Tami (bursting out laughing): What says that?
Hailey: The Bible. It says you have to obey your olders.
I still don't think I have her convinced that is not what the Bible says.

Too funny and very cute! I can just see the look on Hailey's face as she was saying that!
The pastor says he might have to re-preach a certain sermon!
Gosh I miss those girls!!! I think it is about time for a visit to SA!
JUST in case we might get complacent and over-confident in our childraising skills, God sends us Haileys (and Henrys) to remind us that we're helpless.
Don't you know that reference, Tami? It's right after "God helps those who help themselves", and right before "Cleanliness is next to godliness". Sheesh, better get reading!
